0-3 Month Milestones Checklist

*Remember each baby will reach the milestones when he/she is ready. If your baby has not reached all of these milestones by 3 months do not worry as it may occur in the next month. Talk to your doctor and see how you can help encourage your baby.

- While lying on stomach, pushes up on arms
- While lying on stomach, is able to lift and hold head up
- Brings hands to mouth
- Makes smoother movements with arms and legs
- Able to open and close fists
Sensory
- Tracks a moving toy from side to side
- Stays calm when rocking, touching and gentle sounds
- Enjoys movement
- Attempts to reach objects held above their chest
Communication
- Makes eye contact
- Cries differently for different needs
- Coos and smiles
- Turns head towards sounds
- Shows interest in faces
Feeding
- Latches to nipples or bottle
- Tongue moves forward and back to suck
- Drinks 2-6 oz of liquid per feeding (6 times a day)
