3-4 Years Milestones Checklist

*Remember each baby will reach the milestones when he/she is ready. If your baby has not reached all of these milestones by 4 years do not worry as it may occur in the next month. Talk to your doctor and see how you can help encourage your baby. 


Motor
  • Hops and stands on one foot up to 2 seconds
  • Catches a bounced ball
  • Pours, cuts (with supervision), and mashes own food

Sensory
  • Enjoys doing new things
  • Names some colors and some numbers
  • Starts to understand time
  • Draws a person with 2-4 body parts
  • Uses child scissors
  • Starts to copy some capital letters

Communication
  • Knows some basic rules of grammar correctly ("he" /"she")
  • Sings songs or says poems from memory
  • Tells stories
  • Can say first and last name
