4-5 Years Milestones Checklist

*Remember each baby will reach the milestones when he/she is ready. If your baby has not reached all of these milestones by 5 years do not worry as it may occur in the next month. Talk to your doctor and see how you can help encourage your baby. 


Motor
  • Stands on one foot for 10 seconds or longer
  • Hops
  • Can do a somersault
  • Uses a fork, spoon and sometimes a table knife
  • Toilet trained
  • Swings and climbs

Sensory
  • Counts 10 or more items
  • Can draw person with 6 body parts
  • Can print some letters and numbers
  • Copies a triangle and other geometric shapes

Communication
  • Speaks very clearly
  • Tells a story using full sentences
  • Uses future tense
