19-24 Month Milestones Checklist

*Remember each baby will reach the milestones when he/she is ready. If your baby has not reached all of these milestones by 24 months do not worry as it may occur in the next month. Talk to your doctor and see how you can help encourage your baby. 


Motor

• Walks alone
• May walk up steps 
• Stands on tiptoe
• Kicks a ball
• Begins to run

Sensory

• Begins to sort shapes and colors
• Completes sentences and rhymes in familiar books
• Builds towers of 4 or more blocks
• Finds things even when hidden under two or three covers

Communication

• Points to things or pictures when they are named
• Knows names of familiar people and body parts
• Says sentences with 2-4 words
• Repeats words overheard in conversation
• Points to things in a book

Feeding

• Drinks from cup
• Eats with spoon
