2-3 Years Milestones Checklist

*Remember each baby will reach the milestones when he/she is ready. If your baby has not reached all of these milestones by 3 years do not worry as it may occur in the next month. Talk to your doctor and see how you can help encourage your baby. 


Motor

• Climbs well
• Runs easily
• Pedals a tricycle (3 wheel bike)
• Walks up and down stairs, one foot on each step

Sensory

• Can work toys with buttons, levers, and moving parts
• Does puzzles with 3 to 4 pieces
• Turns book pages one at a time
• Screws and unscrews jar lids or turns door handles

Communication

• Follows 2-3 Steps instructions
• Can name most familiar things
• Says first name, age and sex
• Names friends
• Talks well enough for strangers to understand most of it
